RULE CHANGES:
Section One in the official MSAHA Rule Book has been recently updated. This update requires the attention of each program:
New Membership
1.1 New Applications for Membership
a) New applicants must complete the following six sections by June 1st.
SECTION I - Complete online registration forms.
SECTION II - Submit proof of organization’s insurance policy.
SECTION III - Submit certification that background checks have been provided for all staff members, volunteers, coaches and consultants within your organization.
SECTION IV - Submit New Member Registration Fee of $0.
SECTION V -Submit a copy of your organization's bylaws, governance, and clarifying information such that the MSAHA can confirm compliance with the requirements for membership.
SECTION VI - Complete a scheduled interview with 2 or more current MSAHA Board members.
b) Applications are to be submitted through our website msaha.net by June 1st.
Documents requested in the sections above may be submitted via email to msaha.conference@gmail.com by June 1st.
c) All new applicants must attend the MSAHA Annual Meeting the following June.
d) All new applicants will undergo a one year trial period upon registration. After the one year trial an interview will be scheduled by the MSAHA Board. The Board will then meet to confirm or deny the program’s long term membership.
e) The MSAHA welcomes new applicants in underserved areas, however the MSAHA also seeks to
preserve our existing programs. The MSAHA reserves the right to approve or deny any new program applicants.
Existing Membership
1.2 Existing Membership Annual Registration
a) Existing members must complete the following four sections by June 15th.
SECTION I - Complete online registration form found on msaha.net.
SECTION II - Submit Membership dues via msaha.net. ($100 per sanctioned sport.) Non-Refundable.Page 5 of 33 | Rev. May 2026 | msaha.net
SECTION III - Submit certification that background checks have been provided for all staff members, volunteers, coaches and consultants within your organization.
SECTION IV - Email any changes in your program’s bylaws to msaha.conference@gmail.com.
b) Annual registrations completed after June 15th will incur a $25 added late fee per sanctioned sport without a cap per 15th of every month late. Programs as a whole will be penalized to the effect that all sports in the program will be unable to participate in any MSAHA Championships / Tournaments until resolved.
c) If Annual registrations are not completed in full by October 1st, that program will be disqualified (ineligible to compete) from MSAHA tournaments and championships for the remainder of the current school year.
